A silver ring containing five red stones surrounded by flowers brings to my mind the image of the Greek goddess Persephone, for her time in the underworld is spent with her husband Hades, the god of death who I associate with the colors red and black, and in the springtime she arises from the underworld to help her mother Demeter bring about spring.
